The Republic Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting registrations from exhibitors for its 2013 Business Expo! The expo will be held on March 9th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registrations for exhibits are due by February 28. Download a registration form here.
The Republic Community Thanksgiving Service will be Sunday, Nov. 18, at 6 pm at Hood United Methodist Church. Everyone is invited and encouraged to join this special service.

The Republic Area Chamber of Commerce and Price Cutter will be hosting the 2nd Annual Taste of Republic on Saturday, October 20th from 1-5 p.m. Enjoy a great day of food and fun, as Republic restaurants show off what they have to offer. If you’re planning an outdoor event and need help with restroom services, an upcoming event can help you consider your options. Farr Better Plumbing will host a display from Hometown Disposal, featuring portable restrooms and your different options. Here’s the flyer with all the information:
Orange-and-black-clad Republic fans turned out in force for Republic Night at the Springfield Cardinals game. The night featured a tribute to the state championship girls basketball team. Republic High School violin player Luke Thomas played the National Anthem.

Don’t forget Republic Night at the Springfield Cardinals game on July 26th! The event is organized through the Republic Parks and Recreation Department.
The ticket order deadline has passed, but if you haven’t picked up your tickets, you can do that through July 26th.
The Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual golf tournament Friday, August 24th, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The format will be a four man scramble.
The Tournament will be held at Island Green Country Club. Businesses–there are hole sponsorships still available. We would love for all chamber members and others to join us for this exciting event!

The 2nd annual Care To Learn Golf Tournament is scheduled for this Saturday, June 2nd at Island Green.
Registration is at 7 a.m. and the tournament will start at 8. There’s also a silent auction.
It’s not too late to sign up a team! You can even show up and register on Saturday. The weather is supposed to be in the 70s, so it should be a great day! Come out and support a wonderful cause.
