We are a group of nine students from Republic High School and we have been selected to attend Missouri Girls and Boys State in June. This is a one-week summer program where we have an opportunity to create a mock government, build communities and leave as friends. It gives us the chance to run for Attorney Generals, Governors, and even Supreme Court justices. Many of us want to go into politics or government to help better represent our
communities and underrepresented groups. We will learn how to help with civic engagement and grow our societal connections through the skills we gain from Girls and Boys State. Even though we can’t be here to meet you all, we are very grateful for the opportunity to have you hear about our ventures. Our weekly tuition is $500 per student and we are raising funds for our trip. We are so appreciative of any amount you can contribute to our state ventures.
